BEGINNER TRAINING


Kendo is a rigorous martial art requiring exercise, coordination, and effort, so the beginner class is a great way to find out if kendo is for you. The goal of the beginner class is to teach you the basics of kendo, so that you can join the regular practice.

You will learn:

  • Etiquette
  • Basic terminology
  • How to hold the shinai (practice sword)
  • How to swing the shinai (practice sword)
  • Basic footwork
  • Basic attacking
  • Receiving strikes for a partner
Beginners can start throughout the year and the first time is FREE.

We practicing Kendo on Sundays from 10:30 to 12:30 and Iaido/Jodo on Thursdays 20:00 - 21:30.
